How to find and complete missing albums

432 Librarian compares your albums with a public index built from MusicBrainz and shows what is missing.

Before you start

Only your music folder: it works without an account. Signed in, your Wanted list syncs across your devices.

Choose your music folder
Open the app, go to the Health tab and tap Choose folders. On a first visit the welcome asks for it. Pick the folder where your music is, and allow the browser to change it if it asks.
Open Complete
Open the Complete tab. It checks your albums by itself after each scan. You can also tap Check my albums.
See the albums almost complete
Under Albums almost complete, each album shows how many of its songs you have, such as 8 of 12. Open an album to see all its songs and which ones are missing.
See the albums you do not have yet
Under Albums you do not have yet, the missing albums of your artists are listed by artist, or By genre when your songs have genres.
Buy, or keep for later
On this website each missing song or album has Buy, which goes to Amazon for now, and Add to Wanted to keep it for later.
Check your Wanted list
The Wanted list is at the bottom of the Complete tab. As a guest it stays on this device. Signed in, it syncs with your account.
